Dear Assisted Living Provider,
The assisted living industry in North Carolina is facing crucial times. Owners cannot afford to give raises to their employees; staff is leaving; repairs are needed or demanded by inspectors; accounting becomes a juggling act at the end of each month.
And the problem is getting worse. Special assistance and Medicaid is not only failing to accurately reimburse homes for their services; the rate is not even keeping up with inflation and the deficit has gotten worse in the last five (5) years. The NC General Assembly has the final say on how much the rates will be. State legislators say they are aware of the problem, but there are money shortages across the board.
Please consider making a contribution to the Care PAC. Any amount will be appreciated. To contribute, please download this form.
The 2010 elections has already been an intense and news-driven topic this year. PAC money is a crucial part of the election process. Information about our Care PAC can be found here. Pockets have been stretched, but we must have the attention of legislators and leaders who will be advocates for our residents. We need you to contribute. We need people in the General Assembly who recognize the plight of the industry and who are sympathetic to the needs of our residents.
The success or failure of our businesses depends on policy enacted by the NC General Assembly. We MUST help our friends who help US! |
